Oh What A Night!

Parents and faculty are excited about Wesley Academy and they showed it in a BIG way at the November mixer, Friday the 13th!! With over fifty loyal and gracious guests in attendance we raised over $1700 in Check-In donations and in the Christmas Silent Auction!!! The Silent Auction displayed Houston Texan Tickets donated by the Stuewers, a custom decorated wreath donated by Maria Elena Herbst, Christmas goodies donated by the Greers and fashion jewelry donated by Wesley grandparents, Joel and Maria Sanchez.

This week we also received a $5000 donation from National Oilwell Varco (NOV) for a reserved table at the auction! Mary Birk, sixth grade mom and Kenneth Cuadra third and sixth grade dad are both employed by NOV. All Mary had to do was turn in the Corporate Donation Packet in order to receive such an awesome donation for their children's school!

We encourage everyone that has an employer to do the same in asking the right person at their company for a financial donation to Wesley Academy. We can provide Corporate Donation Packets to present to them with information regarding the school and the donation process! Your company may be able to donate $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 or more!! Most companies have a budget for donating to Non-Profit Organizations - all we have to do is ask...

The Castanedo's, along with some of the parents in the First Grade class, have already purchased TWO $2500 tables for the night of the auction. Please note that we will not have as many tables at this year's auction as we've had in the past. Please make sure you reserve your spot with ample time as space is limited. Purchase YOUR table soon!

Neiman Marcus, here she comes...Middle School Teacher Linda "Effy" Gardner was the BIG winner at the mixer as her name was selected to receive the $500 gift card to Neiman Marcus donated by The McVaughs!! We were glad that she won as we love to see our teachers have the very best!

Last but not least, A special and deep THANK YOU to Jim and Pam McVaugh for hosting this months mixer. Their hospitality and generosity afforded us the opportunity to have a very successful mixer at their beautiful home. The McVaugh's not only opened their home for a setting to prosper Wesley Academy financially, but also allowed new and former parents to fellowship and get to know each other.

God Bless You and God Bless Wesley Academy!

The recycling effort at Wesley has become contagious! Thank you to Ms. Kathy Green for initiating new ways to recycle. In the main hallway downstairs she has created a very neat and impressive drop off area for all aluminum cans, juice packs and printer cartridges! Don't forget to bring these in as they are another way of raising money for our great school!

THE COW IS COMING! THE COW IS COMING! Please continue to join the First Graders as they sell donuts, Chicken Mini's and a variety of breakfast items to raise money for new computers...Monday, November 9 the Chick Fil A cow will visit Wesley Academy during breakfast time outside!
